Circles

Well, I haven't written about cycling since the Tour de France's first rest day. Cycling hasn't been boring, in fact the Tour itself turned out to be pretty exciting. But things haven't been really extraordinary. Cadel Evans scored a well earned victory. Andy Schleck provided one of the best stage victories in years and would have been a worthy winner as well. He had to settle with second place the third time in three years but the Leopard managed to place his brother on the podium as well. So it was a successfull tour for them. Well, was it?
Apparently, team owner Flavio Becca does not think so.
So he has kicked general manager Brian Nygaard off the team and hired Johan Bruyneel who'll bring in half his Radioshack team. So, a lot of riders and staff don't know about their job for next year. Phew. A week after this news, a rumor of a possible Astana-Saxobank merger started off. It doesn't seem that likely right now, but that what I thought about the Schleck Shack as well.
Other news have Longo missing doping tests and linked to Epo. Alex Rasmussen might get banned for missing three tests as well. Or he might not because the UCI and the Danish Cycling Union don't really know who's responsible. Well, those news might come with new names. But it's still about the same stuff. Cycling in circles.
